Beauty products and makeup is fun! But we need to be choosy about which products we invest in so that we’re not supporting animal testing or harming the environment. These are my makeup favorties!
As much as possible, I try to purchase organic and vegan products. This applies not only to my makeup products but also to the food I purchase and eat. I don’t want to invest my money in companies who are testing their beauty products on animals, nor do I want to use products that are going to harm the environment.
I also don’t want to put makeup or other beauty products on my body that contain ingredients and chemicals that are going to be harmful to my skin and body. So organic and vegan (as much as possible) is my best option!
My Makeup Favorites
Ok, so not all of these are makeup, but they’re all products I either use, or have on my wish list.
Lily Lolo Mineral Blush – I love this blush and this brand! I have several products from Lily Lolo and l0ve them all. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to Bare Minerals, this is it!
Lily Lolo Eyebrow Duo – I’ve been using Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade for the past year but recently switched to this Lily Lolo eyebrow duo as I wanted something lighter and a shadow rather than a pomade. I am so pleased with this one, it’s definitely my new favorite brow product. Comes with a shadow color for brows and a wax – apply with a slanted brush.
Maria Nila Cream Heat Spray – Maria Nila is my number one go to when it comes to hair products. They’re 100% vegan and cruelty free. I love their products and they smell SO good! The cream heat spray is to protect the hair from hair dryers, curlers or straighteners. I use it on the ends of my hair when it’s still wet from the shower. The Maria Nila hair spray and dry shampoo are both great too.
Eyeko Eye Do Eyeliner – I wear eyeliner almost every day and prefer the kind that are like a “marker”, I find them easier to apply. I haven’t actually tried this one but intend to buy it the next time I run out of eyeliner as I’ve heard great things about this one.
Pixie Jasmine Oil Blend – I have yet to try any of Pixies products! But again, several of their products are on my list as I’m curious to try them. I’m currently using a lavender oil from Weleda which I like, but am curious to try this one too.
Pixie Cat Eye Ink – Another product by Pixie I’m curious to try – this eyeliner has a slanted felt tip, so similar to the type of eyeliner I usually use but with the added feature that the tip is slanted. Either that means it’s even better precision wise, or more difficult. I’ll have to try it to find out!
